在影片20秒起警方對市民發射催淚彈。這涉嫌違反《公安條例》第17條中，表明警務人員在阻止公眾聚集舉行，或停止或解散公眾聚集時，只可以使用「合理所需的武力」。而過份武力對待被拘捕人士，在沒有合理辨解下，亦可能違反《侵害人身罪條例》各條。

一位市民推單車往新都廣場方向吃飯，途中向迎面而來的警察說了一句「如果呢個政府係不義的，你哋就係維護緊一個不義的政權」。話休，被一名警員喝停，將他強行按在地上，眼鏡也飛脫，十多名防暴警員到場包圍，查他身份證、搜身及查問在現場原因。過份武力對待被拘捕人士，在沒有合理辨解下，可能違反《侵害人身罪條例》各條。
